Thapelo Maseko has announced himself at his new club in Cyprus in emphatic fashion, scoring a match-winning goal to guide his side to the semi-finals of the Cypriot Cup.
Maseko has hit the ground running at AEL Limassol, having now netted his first goal for the club in just his second appearance.

On Wednesday, AEL advanced to the semi-finals of the Cypriot Cup after a 2-1 away win over Mihlali Mayambela’s new team, Omonoia, although the Mayambela was unavailable for the match after sustaining an injury on debut last week.
While one South African was absent, two others had the chance to shine, as AEL had both Luther Singh and Maseko in their squad.
Singh started the match and played 81 minutes before being substituted. Maseko, meanwhile, was introduced in extra time with the score level at 1-1.
The winger, who is on loan at the club from Mamelodi Sundowns for the remainder of the season, scored in the 115th minute after beating three defenders and firing past the opposition goalkeeper.
According to Limassol Today, AEL coach Hugo Martins said: "Congratulations to our players and fans, they helped us a lot. My players fought against the best team in Cyprus at the moment."
He added: "The players deserve the congratulations and not me, I wish and hope that we will make history."
