One of the many deals involving the Chelsea Academy on deadline day was the departure of Ato Ampah, who’s joined Stoke City on a permanent basis. The transfer fee is officially undisclosed, as usual, but is reportedly a “seven-figure fee” that could rise to around £3m.
Official: Stoke City sign Ato Ampah from Chelsea
Farewell

Ampah joined the Academy at age 11 and last year, had even made his senior debut, in our UEFA Conference League match against Astana. That would be the only time the 19-year-old would feature for the first-team however, while playing a key role in our last two PL2 campaigns for the under-21s.
Ampah has signed a 3.5-year deal with the Potters, and is looking forward to taking the next step in his promising career.
“I am very excited about this new chapter in my career. I know the Manager and coaching staff here have a reputation for developing young players and that was a big factor in my decision. I am hungry, determined and excited to express myself in front of Stoke City’s supporters.”

Farewell and good luck, Ato!
